Profundity. Love that word. Memories of AP Lit dance by.

Ok, I found my stupid phone. It was in the pocket of a jacket I didn't know was missing. That's because my Mom and I own identical jackets so when I left "hers" in my friends room, I didn't notice that I wasn't checking the right one when I searched the pockets of "mine" that was in my room. Didn't find "her" jacket sooner because someone put another jacket and a blanket on top of it on the back of the chair it was lying across. Never thought to check the chair back for a missing cell phone.

Now that that's done...... I'm still depressed. But what is the definition of depressed anyway? defined: "lower than previously;" "a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy and a despondent lack of activity;"
Sure, those work. Cuz I'm certainly not "Severely despondent and unhappy." That definition seems too typical for me.
I am certainly lower than previously, which would be obvious if you read "She's so Hiiiiiii-ee-ii-ee-igh!" the title of my last last journal.

Fact: To-do lists never really get shorter. They are in an eternal state of lengthening and all a human can do is try to maintain it at any certain length, futiley trying to keep it from getting longer. Ok, maybe THAT'S not futile, but trying to complete the frickin' list is.

Opinion: Life would absolutely suck in monotone. I choose to live a life that I believe God prepared for me of extreme ups and downs. I live this insane little rollercoaster and wouldn't trade it for a smooth ride. If I did, I'd never feel the ecstasy in joy. In order to feel that radiance, I'd willingly suffer heart-wrenching desolation or enraged fury. (sidenote: and to the certain unnamed who can't appreciate that about me, enjoy whatever nothingness you wallow in. oh wait, you can't enjoy. you apparently live a dull, peakless life)

And apparently I can be extremely bitter, but I'll try to find some sugar to swallow that with.

Anywho! I posted a new poem. Do read. It's nicer than this journal.
